The posting by Randolph in Nov hit it right on the head. The greatest generator of 'garbage calls' in the US is the AARP.
They shamelessly sell phone numbers of members over and over again to anyone who will pay for them. No sooner does one
stop, another will start up. If you are thinking of joining the AARP you must enjoy wading ankle-deep in unsolicited junk-mail stuffed into your mailbox on a daily basis, and your phone ringing off the hook with scammers and criminals hoping to
score money from you. Like Randolph I did not renew my AARP membership, I told them to quit sending me anything to do
with them but they persist. The government should outlaw the AARP, it's the biggest scam going.
I called the number back and got a busy no. Also got a hang up. I usually do not answer these calls but they are becoming very annoying. Is there no way to stop this.
