Please report this number as a scam! They are calling my home looking for a person whom we do not know and ask for them to call regarding their SSN# being stolen and being used as part of fraudulent activity.
Heavy accent, claims name is John Brown...from the State Bureau of Washington DC with a lawsuit in hand...same very old story. If I call back, he can help if I ignore, he wishes me well. TOTAL SCAM!!!! When speaking with my local police about others that have called, they warned that this group, the heavy accent with american names, are a scam group they're all trying to stop. DO NOT GIVE IN TO THEM, DO NOT GIVE THEM INFORMATION, DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY.
Just got the same message!! This is a TOTAL SCAM!!! I sought advice about this and was told to do the following:
1. Contact Homeland Security @ 989-497-0580
2. Call all three Credit Bureaus and file a "Fraud Alert" so your SSN can't be used to ruin your credit!!!
WE HAVE TO STOP THESE IDIOTS!!!
