As the presently "No-Call" program seems to be another public sector failure. I believe if the Bloods & Crypts were given the responsibility to maintain and enforce this list it would achieve much better results..
These scammers keep nuisance calling and harrassing me every day. WTF! American-Institute-for-Cancer-Research is their front name. They are an unethical group of liars that pose as a charity for cancer research. They resort to harassing people for money by using untraceable stolen cell phones calling at all hours even past the legal FCC telemarketer time limit of 9pm. They even have a fake front on Facebook. American Institute is all it says on my caller I.D,. The calls are from 202-540-5118. I'm never here when they call and they don't leave a message. I'm on a "Do Not Call" list and don't appreciate these persistent calls. How can they be stopped?
Get numerous calls from a/c 202 phone numbers that either come in on caller id as anonymous or AICR. Based on other posts, it is most likely the same caller service, similar to the obnoxious "800 Service" calls.
Our answering machine indicates that we do not accept solicitations or surveys and to put our number on their do not call list. Serves absolutely no purpose.
We've been on the national do not call list for five years and continue to get calls from companies that ignore the list. Complaints lodged for violators seem to have no effect.
