I just received the same call. The caller ID himself as Micheal, badge # 27013. He sited T.D. 9092
Split-Dollar Life Insurance Arrangements which have no relevance to what his call regarded. When I put them on the spot they said that they would send an officer to pick me up.
Left horrible msg about being with IRS and must pay $4,620 on Fri. When I actually called back several days later I talked to 3 people. All who sounded like they were all from out of this country. I talked to one person called Taylor Brown who was male once and femalel the next. I was told it was illegal to disscuss any of these proceedings with anyone. Said I was going to be arrested on fraud immediately. Enough didn't add up so I finally figured it was a scam!!!
1ST call was from a Steve Parker saying he was IRS and then changed to Dept of Treasury. All about threats to have me arrested for fraud. Wanted Apple vouchers(which don't exist) send to the actual IRS office in Austin. Mole in Austin to grab any actually sent?!? I actually talked to Mgr of Apple store and he informed me their main office has sent out alerts so anyone coming in gets the scoop about this scam! These guys need to be put down.
