Hi All, The best combat against this is just to call them back... again, and again, and again!!!! They want to talk? Okay, let's talk! I have called them back around 76 times since 7PM EDT today. It is now 10:30PM. Sometimes they've picked up and other times not. Every time they greet with "Investigations Department." I've asked what they wanted to talk to me about and they just get quiet and listen. Two different younger men voices. One with somewhat of a non-US accent. I've also sent text messages and they are not bouncing back, so I'm assuming this number receives text. Folks, PLEASE PLEASE HELP US ALL. CALL THEM. Call them often!!! Let's make the contact they are seeking! Make it your business to make it a point that we will not stand for this nonsense.
Report the Calls to the real IRS here:

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
