Received a message saying last attempt before filing lawsuit against you. Scammers.......first of all you would never receive a phone call threatening a lawsuit from the IRS. Leaving messages is to be very discrete to keep others from hearing that sort of information anyway you would receive some type of US Mail first they dont have an address just a machine that kicks out random numbers....so SCAM, SCAM AND SCAM AGAIN!!!!

I received from another 202 area code number telling me that they were from the IRS and I was facing charges and to call this number I called and the guy was very rude when I told him I wasn't giving him my information he started calling me names and hung up on me
IRS....What a joke! I went along with them for a minute, then started asking them for their credentials etc. They supposedly transfered me to a supervisor who sounded even more Indian or Middle eastern than the first guy..
I received several calls from this number… It was a recording that said this was the IRS and this was the last attempt to collect… I called the number just to find out what was going on and because they called more than once. The person I talk to asked if I had a case number, and then asked if I was so-and-so at such and such an address. Of course, none of the info was correct. When I asked if they had my phone number attached to that file, they hung up on me. However, the automated recording keeps calling me.
I guessed it was some kind of scam...just not sure what they are after. Any ideas?
