They call me several times a day. At first I didn’t answer and they didn’t leave messages, but when I finally answered it was GOPAC (Republican political action committee). I hung up. How do I get off their list?
They call 3-4 times a week. Caller ID says "GOPAC" sometime and out of area other times. Its a auto dialer and never switches to a caller on their end. Just dead air. A few times they were there and asked to speak to my wife. I thought she must have given them money in the past, as we are on the national no call list, which allows calls if you have supported in the past. She has no recognition of this organization, although is a registered republican. Went on their web site and emailed them today 8/20 to ask to be removed from their system.
I get called by this number twice a day, same circumstances. Been hapening for weeks. This is not the first time I've run into this. The Caller IDs says GOPAC but these calls however are being made my liberal groups hoping to annoy people into not supporting them. They get ahold of the phone numbers of people on mailing lists for conservative groups and try to annoy the hell out of them, making it look like its being done by these conservative groups when in fact it is not. Best you can do is plead with your phone company to block these calls or perhaps report to the police the continual harassment.
This is a Republican group with the leader being Michael Steele. Our number was owned by Republicans in the past, and we are independents. We have gotten a number of harrasing calls and when we asked to be removed fromtheir lists they refused because we were not the person they were claling. We are on the do not call list. And "robocalling" is a Republican tactic that has been used before.
