Caller gave the name Brian something, said it was being recorded, and wanted to send a packet so I could donate to our Veterans. I said," I prefer not because I donate locally to our veterans home but thank you for calling "and hung up. I wish I had said, "Look, first of all I want to search and see if you are legit (which I felt he was not). Secondly, I pay tax dollars for veterans affairs (admittedly these service men and women are not getting benefits nor service they deserve,nevertheless) Finally, you are wasting money on phone service , postage and who knows what % for yourself so why would I not want to give 100% locally and/or visit our veterans for myself." I became annoyed that they would play on people's empathy and while I didn't fall for this scam thinking others might--- argh. I hope they do call back, I'll report them to the local paper and get the word out.
I get a call every day from this number. They leave messages that sound like there is a party going on in the background with no actual person talking. What is the deal with this?
This company calls for my husband about 3-5 times a day. The one time I answered a lady told me they couldnt disclose any info to me , and that it was a courtesy call. She hung up on me as well. I call the number back and it's busy. Is there a way to get them to stop calling ?
