Any call that is in the format of (xxx) 555-100 to (xxx) 555-1999 is a scammer. These numbers are FICTIOUS and are being spoofed on your caller id. These appear to be the call site scam where someone claims your computer is infected and they can fix is if you pay them $300. Do NOT answer.
They keep calling me telling me they're Microsoft & that they're having trouble connecting with my computer to do the necessary updates. I just hang up.
8:08 pm, Sunday, 10/19/14. This # showed on my caller I.D. By the time I picked up the phone no one was there. Lucky me! Thanks to 800 notes and all who contribute to this info for alerting me to this scam.
