they call my cell phone number. Never leave a message. Who are these people? Does anyone out there know??

202, DC, some political thing of course

SEE THIS  SITES  FORUM'S  ON THE   "  202  AREA  CODE  FRAUD  SCAMS " !!!

(  which  you  should  have  done  before  posting , and  your  questions  would  have  been  answered !!! )

Not necessarily political.  My in-laws received calls from a 202 number and it was a scammer threatening a lawsuit unless they paid to settle a debt.  They have no debt.

I always promise to donate $200.  Then I tell them to wait while I "go get my credit card".
