Received voice messages (twice) from woman caller (sounds to be from India or Philippines) saying she was with the IRS Legal Affairs department calling about tax evasion. Know this to be a scam as taxes done and nothing owed. Don't call back!
I am considering giving them a bit of their own medicine. What if we all called back, multiple times a day, asking them for information, such as where they are located so we can bring a check in person. Ask why didn't they call earlier. Ask them to verify the address of said registered mail. Keep them busy wasting time on the phone. And call again with the same set of annoying questions. Tax their lines and personnel on fruitless tasks. This scam will no longer be profitable.
