They said it was the IRS and that I had a warrant out for my arrest do to IRS fraud and gave me a case # and warrant # and told me I owed 2850.00 and that I could pay it today or go to court and as soon as I hang up if I dont take care of this they will have my bank seized and the police come and arrest me.
I just got a call. I called them back and they told me I was going to be arrested in the next hour because I didn't pay my taxes to the IRS. I told them I was going to have them arrested he hung up.
Scam artist purporting to be from the iirs fraud investigation unit. When i told him the call was being recorded he hung up. Ive reported the number to the real irs fraud investigstion unit on the dept of the treasury.gov website.
This number called my home 202-559-7911. Washington DC, he had a foreign accent claiming that there was a warrant issued for my arrest. He stated he was a cop badge #DJ9194
he gave a case number as well as a arrest warrant number. He said I had to pay 2850 or something and if I didn't before the end of the call 45 minutes later I'd be arrested and all my possessions seized. This is ridiculous the fact that these people can do this and nothing is being done. I've never been arrested but to receive a call like that scared the .... out of me. Not knowing if it was a prank or not.
