I have been receiving calls from this number. After reading your comments I decided to answer today - on a Saturday morning. It is the ANA PAC (Political Action Committee). The caller did confirm he was calling to request money. Shame on you ANA.
I'm an RN and a member of the ANA. It makes sense that it could be an ANA PAC looking for donations. This number called my cell phone at 18:35 (while I was busy working).
The number is to the American Nurses Association PAC. They are calling to get donations to support their political advocacy programs for Congress. They aren't allowed to use dues money to support the PAC, so they make calls. I know it can be annoying to get these kinds of calls but one of the main reasons I'm a member is because the work that the are doing is important for all nurses.

I was told that you can tell them if you want your donation to ONLY go to Republicans, Democrats or Independents which is great.

I told them that I do shift work and to only send letters. They said they'd stop calling.
My Cell Number is on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!!! I know Im not a Member of ANA or whatever it is. I dont give a crap what its for I recently updated my cell numbers on the DO NOT CALL LIST and yes its ILLEGAL!!!! I think its Even WORSE when its a Reputable Organization such as the ANA (American Nurses Association). So because of who they are they can Break the DO NOT CALL LAWS!!!! ????
Im SOOOO SIck of my Cell Minutes being BURNED UP by Calls like this one. I pay for those Minutes and for even having a Phone let alone all the Extras such as Federal and State Taxes. NO ONE Should be able to call ANYONES Number with out Express Permission Period. We pay for the phones, services, taxes, extras and all we get are UNSOLICITED CALLS and SPIED ON by the Government.
So Technically we ALL PAY to be Pestered, Bugged, Harassed, Woke Up (rest/sleep disturbed) and SPIED ON!!!!
This crap has to STOP!!!! This is WHY they created the DO NOT CALL LIST! To Bad No One Gives a CRAP!!!
Isnt it Funny how they can get Our Names and Phone Numbers but we cant Look them Up and find out who is calling us Even when its a "So Called Legit Business" I looked up this number on 411.com and the Company Name is NOT Listed just the General Location of the Number. This is BS! If they have to HIDE they are doing something WRONG! Like oh I dont know maybe BREAKING LAWS!!!!!?
