Received call on 1/18/13. Called number back and got a Verizon message that the number has been disconnected or changed. Obviously this is some kind of scam.
I got a call from this number this morning 5 times in a row...just ignored it as I dont answer numbers I don't know. Glad I looked it up to see it was a scam
The people using this number are criminals!!The will tell you have won a free cruise....they just need to credit card number to process your claim. Report them to the FCC and FTC.
I have been inundated with calls from this number. When I called it back, a young woman answered, "Hello?". I did not recognize her voice and do not know anyone in DC. My phone identified the number as a DC one. I hung up.
The number simply shows as Cell Phone DC and when I answer they say I have won a cruise and ask me to complete a survey. Why do people have to do everything fraudulently. Are there any people or companies left in our world with any morals? Why does everyone play games and be dishonest?
I also got a call at 11AM this morning from that number in DC. However, when I called it back, it dropped the call. So I assume this is a prank call or something and they are using a normal person's phone number. So when you do call them back, and they answer, it sounds like it is normal. However, I do have my suspicions about this. They have called before a month ago.
If you get a call like this, just hang up. If no one answers on the other end, hang up and talk to the phone company to see if it can be blocked. Or like another person on here said, get a call blocker and then it will drop those calls.
