This is a scam. The caller identifies himself as David Anderson with the GSA, a government office located in Washington DC. They will tell you that you have a very large check coming. They start out by calling you first, give you a file number & a check number. NIGERIAN SCAM.....I filed a fraud complaint with the GSA today & stated someone is using their name in order to defraud elderly & unsuspecting people.

Same information as provided by sw. The caller identifies himself as David Anderson with the GSA, a government office in Washington DC. Gave a file number and check number. Said package with paperwork and check would arrive in a few days. I should call him once I had deposited the check into my account.
I've got a phone call that looks exactly as the one described by SW. Caller told that he was calling from government state agency in Washington.

THIS IS SCAM!!!
These people left my Dad a message on his voice mail informing him that he had signed a paper about 6 weeks ago concerning a sweepstakes which he had not. I called them myself and found that they wanted him to send them money since he had won 2nd place in the sweepstakes. These people claim they are from the Federal Bureau of Investigations in Washing DS. Daddy has already received calls stating he has won money from Publisher's Clearing House. I directly called Publisher's Clearing House and they informed us that they NEVER call winners nor do they send them a letter in the mail. PLEASE be careful. If someone is asking you for money then it IS A SCAM!
