Received 2 calls today leaving this # & saying IRS would be filling a lawsuit against me. When I called a man named Ryan something, with an Indian accent, said I'd reached the IRS. He said there was a discrepancy in my returns from 2008 -2012 for over $3000. When I said I'd received no previous notice he said they'd tried mailings notices to me that were returned saying no one living in my home. I said that was BS since I'd been at this address continuously since 12/80. He raised his voice at me & said if I was going to call BS - I stopped him there & said I know I'm not speaking to the IRS. An actual customer rep, especially working for the gov't, would not say BULL [***] to a tax payer. And there was no statement at the beginning of the call that it was being monitored - all collection or companies that take payments by phone give a disclaimer about monitoring.
A man with a heavy foreign accident named Kevin said I owed back taxes from 2008-2012 (my taxes weren't paid in full) and that I could pay a lump some or the IRS would take me to court (Law Suit). He gave a badge #, case #, and section #. He was very convincing. I told him I would get a hold of my accountant and get a lawyer if necessary. My accountant informed me this is a SCAM. Then I got another automated call from the fony IRS saying to return the call.
I had two voicemail messages on my home phone in a robo sounding voice saying to contact the IRS at 202-580-8652 because they are filing lawsuit against me and to call immediately to get more info about the case file. Caller ID just said Washington, DC.
