Received a call from this # and they said I was eligible for a grant worth $10,000 for further education. They said I was one out of 1500 in the United States to receive this grant and would not have to pay it back. They said I need to call a # area code 254 in Texas to verify and even gave me a federal id #. I said ok and never called the other # and they keep calling me back but I don't answer and they only let it ring 3 times. Something fishy I believe.
Lady with an accent called saying I received a 14k grant and I was one out of bla bla to be eligible and then I couldn't understand so I kept saying I don't understand, what is this? And then she hung up. Said she was with us gov. Also when I picked up the phone it rang again and the lady with accent answered.
SCAMMERS- Sounded indian- said he was with us govermento, caller ID shows Washington dc. They are spoofing numbers. When I answered and said hello the phone started ringing until he came on said I'm with the US government ask for me by name, proceeded to tell me I won the lottery in the amount of 14000 but I need to pay him 3000 to get it- basically SCAMMERS , HUNG UP. When you call back the phone number it's goes nowhere
Been called by these people four times over the past two days. Today I decided to answer and it was an Indian man saying I'd won a grant that I could spend on anything I wanted and I needed to pay him a handling fee so that he could get me my money as fast as possible. I asked him who the president of the United States is. He hung up.
New my name, address, how many brothers and sisters i had and my birthday they even new that my grandfather just past away they told me that it was a inheritance he left me
