Auto-call by somebody like Alan Sears? Asked if I was registered to vote and then I hung up.
Never answer that question or you'll never hear the end of them. Especially in an election year.
Since Political calls and Polls are allowed by the Do-Not-Call laws the best thing to do is not answer any questions and not give them any reason to call back with "real" polls, push polls or fundraising.
Call from AICPOLTK: Missed the rings and went to voicemail. Checked message which was only two words. It must cut off when it recognizes an answering machine. I called the number back and it said, "This number is not taking calls at this time. Please hang up and check again later." I wish I could get my phone number to do that, only to say at the end, "Please hang up and go jump off a bridge!" From now on, based on the comments above, I'm going to answer their questions with a question: do you really think that your time and money is well-served when there are thousands of Americans our there out of work making calls that NO ONE wants to receive in the first place? If you spent the money from your long distance on just ONE family that would inject enough currency into the system to get something positive started. Yeah, I think that's what I'll start saying instead.
