My friend got a call from 202 600 9145, and they said she owes IRS few thousands of $$. If she doesn't pay, she will be arrested. She was pretty scared, but we found everybody's posts here and we are pretty sure that the call was a scam. Hopefully nobody believes them.
". . . and we are pretty sure that the call was a scam." - You can change that to 100% sure now. The IRS does NOT call you, unless you call them first. They send you a letter by good ol' US Mail.
I just received a call (202) 600-9145 with a playback message stating it was the IRS and I should return the call immediately. Failure to do so would result in a warrant for my arrest. After searching and calling IRS I discovered they will contact you via us mail.
I just received an automated call (202-600-9145) saying if I did not call back or have my att call back I would be arrested, said they were from the IRS???? After reading all the posts I would have to guess this is a scam and not to worry or call back????
