I received a similar call - well 2 of them now - and let them go to my voice mail. The 2nd call was also James from the IRS and he left me a case number. I called back and when I told him I just received a phone call from this number and I want my number taken off his list - he hung up on me. Imagine that!
The call came in and when I answer the male person he identified himself calling from the irs office as James and said that the irs filed a lawsuit against me for money being owed and I need to pay up now or its on me .
A federal criminal lawsuit has been filed against (me) you. Please call this number and do not disregard this message. If so you will watch things .... The message does not say my name. And when you call back it beeps like a dead line, or beeps like a busy signal but faster. But it was a very THREATENING phone call to say the least....
This is a threatening scam robo call about a lawsuit they pretend to have against you and want information about you then they threaten you to send them money to stop lawsuit. Robo caller / every time they call, it gives you a new case number. Don't even bother answering
