Received phone call from this number. Called back and they said it was the IRS initiating a law suit. The IRS does not call people when initiating a law suit, they send you correspondence describing the details of the suit. This is a scam to illicit funds from unsuspecting people. They will drop the suit if you send money.
Received a 'robot' message stating that it was the IRS, that I owe money and to call back 202-602-1426 or else they would start criminal proceedings. Called number back and spoke to a Mr. "Jack Cooper" who had a Middle Eastern accent. I don't know about you, but I don't know of any individual with such an American name that has such a strong Middle Eastern accent. I also received his so called 'IRS' badge number of 007 496 7894. Complete scam. I pay my taxes and have never received anything in the mail from the IRS stating that I owe them anything.
Received call from this number today. So stupid! Can't believe anyone would fall for a robo call telling you the IRS is suing you. Wish it had been a live person so I could have blown whistle in their ear. Seldom answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, but picked this one up. Why can't this be stopped when you are on a NO Call List?
