I also received a call from a Mr Davis pertaining to a cheque that did not clear one of my accounts from a year ago. I was skeptical about the information initially, but then I actually called my bank to verify the information that was obtained from Mr Davis, and it was valid. These people are only hired to locate individuals, and he refered me to another company and the matter was handled.
A man by the name of Jim Davis says he is from Capitol Bureau of Investigations and represents Pala Casino in San Diego County. He made threatening and harrassing phone calls to my family members trying to get our phone numbers, saying that fraud was committed and he is going to issue a warrant for arrest. Several phone calls have been made trying to speak to this person, however; it is ALWAYS a answering machine. On the one occasion he returned a call, it sounds as if it is coming across the computer. The name of this "company" does not appear in ANY phone book, google search, or even the National Board of Collection Agencies. I left a message asking him for his Investigative License Number, information regarding the checks, etc., no message back.
A dis-trout man called our office today proclaiming that he and his girlfriends family were be hassled and threatened by a man on the phone. The caller was trying to extort money from this caller because of a bad cheque that the callers girlfriend wrote for $80.00 back in 2005. Apparently the caller wanted $589.00 dollars to pay for all fees, but would settle for some lesser amount of $180.00. The callers name was Jim Davis who said he was an investigator with Capital Bureau of Investigations. Telephone: 202-400-3968. Other members of the family received calls as well. A Travis Hutchinson 202-400-3881 and a Mrs. Morgan 202-499-6972.

I called all the above noted numbers and finally spoke to a Mr. Hutchinson, who was on a conference call and was too busy to speak to me. I left him my number and suggested he call me back.
Either these people locate individuals for collection companies.

Also received phone call from JIM DAVIS, CAPITAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATIONS. Call was received from another family member, with message left as to my known whereabouts and to disconnect call if received call from authorities. Attempted to return call, answering machine on, however, mailbox full. Will attempt to pursue this scheme with my own investigation.
