Got a call from this number at 3:01pm on Aug. 20, 2010, to my HOME.
Read "cell phone" on my caller ID.
When I answered, no one there.
Seems like telemarketing. Booooo!
Agree with other poster: using "tricks" like a cell phone number to get you to pick up is lame at best and completely dishonest from a non-reputable company at worst.
STAY AWAY. Don't buy from these types of businesses!!!
A super nice lady called telling me our company could save money on our power bill by as much as 20%. She told me deregulation was the reason, and that the District of Columbia (where we are based) just passed a law allowing DC homes and businesses to purchase power from other companies.
Said she was calling on behalf of Liberty Power.
There are TWO reasons why we would never use this company.
1. They called from a number that appears to be local to our area (making it more likely for us to pick-up). If this company is as legitimate in its business dealings as it is trying to make itself appear, than why not use a valid number.
2. The person she asked for left our company 11-years ago! Clearly, management at Liberty Power needs to buy some updated lists and if they are too cheap to even to that, then I can't imagine the type of problems I would have if I ever became a customer.
I got a call from a Corey Klein from this number He asked if i was the business owner and said his company could help save money on my bill. He asked for my comapny's EIN number. That made me uncomfortable. he's been very persistent in calling back. I've been putting him off next time he calls i will ask me to send me information regarding switching over by mail to my PObox. Just didnt feel comfortable with this person. He also called from 561-620-8015..very strange

Got a call from this number on 8/23/10 around 3:45 PM...hung up quickly after I started posing questions....I am on DO NOT CALL list. Questionable marketing tacticts by company...claimed to be from PEPCO, our local supplier...I am reporting them to PEPCO, etc.
