This number called, but I did not answer the phone because I assumed it was a telemarketer as I have been contacted by several with similar numbers supposedly in the Washington DC area. My number is also on a Do Not Call List. Last month I made the mistake of signing up for a site called "Women Get it for Free" owned by Zeeto Media in San Diego, CA. I opted out of every offer I did not want, but they still sold my phone number to telemarketers for products and services I did not request. I have filed with everyone I can think of to get these guys stopped, but to no avail. The steal your information by trying to make their site look legitimate than sell it to scammers like this one.
Yes total scam call, say they have grant money for you. Don't know your name or any personal info about you. State they have $8000 to give you. The accent is very strong, just either don't anwser calls identified as DC, USA or just hang up. I get a least 4 call a day now.
