Don't be "creaped" (sic) out. Comcast is, among other things, a telephone company. They supply phone service to lots of people. Perhaps either Comcast hasn't yet reported the caller ID name to the commercial caller name database your phone company uses for caller name lookup or they haven't entered it into the database yet. But Comcast does own the block of 1,000 consecutive phone numbers that includes the number you are reporting. It is not uncommon for the caller ID name to show the phone company until someone gets around to reporting the caller ID name to the right database. I had this problem with my own name for my outgoing calls, and still do, sometimes, depending on the caller name service used by the company providing phone service to the person I call.
this number keeps calling my friend looking for me. but never leaves a name or why they are calling. It is very irritating and unwanted. I did a reverse look up and says comcast is the company. yet when I call them back it goes to a generic vm. I find this creapy.
