Ok, so they called my mom today saying that she won 350,000 dollars. A Richard Hawkins was his name. Gave my mom the number to Mutual Liberty and she talked to a Stacy saying she won 2nd place. This is the same scam and Josh was talking about....You know these scams are getting smarter and smarter...what scares me is that they have all my mothers information...
This number called me a few days ago and said that I won $400,000 but I had to send them1% or $4,000 to get the $400,000.And if I did not have the $4,000 they would set up a payment plan.
This number called me yesterday and a James Kennedy identified himself claiming I have won $350,000 and said to call Mutual Liberty at 617 329 3144 and claim the winnings (which I did) and keep everything very quiet. Then a Justin Perry "Director" called today and said he wanted 1% or $3500.00 for transfer insurance from Lloyd's of London's branch called Lloyd's of America at 859 212 6844 (I googled this number and it's a Susan Cull's personal number). Justin said he would try to make arrangements for the payment. Justin called again and I confronted him with the information and comments about his direct dial phone number "National Gaming Commission" and Susan Cull's personal number that I discovered on the Internet as well as the information my bank manager provided claiming this is most probably a scam. The internet says when you read about sweepstake scams that no costs are associated with winnings, period. And no government agencies are involved with sweepstakes in anyway.
Remember the age old saying, "If it is too good to be true, then it probably is." If your better judgement gets the best of you....you can't say you were not warned.
