She or he or it is scamming Craigslist from what I can tell. Report to PayPal because it's a scam and they are worthless and need REAL lives and REAL jobs. This is the low life scum that makes you want to speed up your car as they are walking across the street. They make good hood ornaments.
IT'S name is not Kimberly Jones, it's Klimberlin Jones. I'm sure that's bogus to. It's really probably Fido or Forest Bump. Forest Gumps single digit IQ cousin from the slums.
Scammer wants to use PayPal. Probably stolen info. Also wants me to ship. Syntax and English from texts aren't very good. Offered more than my asking price to have item shipped. The texts came to me regarding my for-sale Craigslist ad.
Happening to me right now via text message. My ad on craiglist does list my phone number... but not all digits to try to lessen spam and scam. Says he's in USMC semper fi and wanting to buy my phone for his nephew overseas. Wants to pay me an additional $95 over my asking price to pay for shipping. I posted the ad in Mobile, AL and he says he lives here. But he's out of town for several weeks because of military. Lots of errors in typing and almost seems like he doesn't speak English well (if I were to actually speak with him). Says his name is Eric. After I said no Paypal account, he's pushing me to get an account. When I said no cash only in person, he sent the same exact three messages again.
I live in Alberta, and I just got a text from him with the same 'nephew overseas' story. What is the scam here? Is it to get my paypall information - or is it to try and get the person to mail the phone before receiving payment?
