Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated.

The number has been on my caller id for some time now - i finally answered it... Supposedly i got selected to receive a $7k grant from the federal govt from a program in 2009 that obama set in place. BUT... you have to call the financial dept with an approval number they give you... but here is the thing that got me - they won't ask for bank info and they won't send you a check to your home address (which they already have) they HAVE to send it through a walmart money gram.. I told her tha it sounded sketchy to me for the federal govt to send that way and she hung up on me.... I don't plan on calling the finance dept...
They called me and said they were giving me 7 thousand dollars from a grant and I didn't have to pay it back. I said, then send me a check. they said it would have to be a money gram. I said ok, he said, oh, I cannot hear you well, let me call you back.. this has to be some kind of scam , they said I would receive it in cash, I said, that's fine with me, send it..
