Got a call today from the same number woman questions asking if I filed 2011-2012-13-14 I said no I did not WHY she say my taxes were filed incorrectly and I need to have a lawyer and I have 10 mins for something I couldn't hear much she was saying she sounded foreign and she hung up phone I had my husband and aunt call back no answer phone off hook and things it seemed weird because I was in school and didn't have a job 2011 and stuff I'm like how silly and googled the number and see you all had the same situation
Tita...We recd call before 7am a recording stating that they were from the Justice Dept and that agents would be on our door step within 72 hours if we did not call back. I called back and it was a woman with an Indian accent who would not talk with me as she wanted to talk to my husband..... the phone number 202 640 5468 we see we are not the only ones that they are trying to rip off.....
got the call twice, once today and another on saturday. they are ridiculous. I listened to the message both times, after hanging up I laughed and never called them. But I can't help but feeling pity for those who don't know about this and might get scared badly. Not even for a second should anybody feel that way.
2 tips: First, like it was already mentioned above... The IRS never calls anybody!! it is more like you have to call them and wait for hours to finally talk to someone.
Second... if the police were really after you, they won't warn you about them coming to get you so could escape or load your weapon to wait for them... more likely they will come unannounced in the middle of the night with a swat team and get you.
Be that as it is, would be great to investigate further these telemarketers/scammers.
