Same here. I got a call from "David" at the U.S. Treasury Department. After telling me the government wanted to give me a grant for $9000.00 (how very nice of them), he asked for some non-specific information (he knew my address for instance). However, they were going to send the money either via Western Union, or to my credit card or bank account. I told the man I would prefer Western Union (not giving out CC or bank info), and he told me I needed to call another number to confirm the payment. The # he wanted me to call was (871) 977-6425, and he called from (202) 656-8759. Definitely a fraud. The U.S. government communicates via mail in most cases.
