Woman speaking with an obvious accent said that she is with a Government agency and can send me $5,628.00 if I provide her with my SSN and bank account information.

i got that call today, the lady said that her name was jen, than i asked to speak to her supervisor and he got on the line and he said that his name was phillip varga. I hung up on the after they said that i won money. they proceded to call me back and said that they were with the finance dept. so i said that i would call them back. I proceded to call the FBI and they told me to call the treasury department and thy fowarded me to the financal crimes devision. they said that it was a fraud. after i got off of the phone with the govt. "phillip" called me on my cell phone, i asked for the address and he hung up on me. I looked up the number and it was based out of westchester district of columbia. I called my local police department and they handled it. FYI as soon as you ask questions to verify their auth. the get very mouthy.

I just got that call yesterday said I won money with a very strong accent, I couldnt understand them at all. I could hear a child in the background thats how i knew it was a scam. They said "dont give this up like lotto,gamble and beer". strang and kinda funny. I hung up on them and they have called me 6 time four yesterday and 2 today...Def a scam

rec'd a call from this number, man w/accent, could not understand, mentioned he was from the government and that I'm entitled to 5,0000 plus, because, my family always pays taxes on time, was very hesitant, when I asked to prove he was from the government
