I got a call today from 1970002 saying that i have been selected to get $700 from the US Govenment and gave me a approval number dg149 and asked to call this number...after i did they said that i had to pay $280 which would be used for charity...i was on the net and browsed to this page and after reading the comment i disconnected the call...Really sad scams like dis are being tolerated in US
I too was called and I paid $310.oo. They referred me to another number, 347-706-3001. Jen, Lisa Raye, and Natalia were the names they went by. They recommended that I pay $1500.00 more to get my so called grant released. I'd like a lawyer to reach out to me in order to get my $310.00 back and to prevent other victims from being preyed on.
I just got a call. I was told the same thing, that I got $7000 grant from the government. I asked how is it possible, because I have never applied for one. They gave me the same phone number to call and an approval number. I knew it was a scam, so I searched for the phone number and I found this website.
