Have received lots of call - this one was a recording saying I didn't pay taxes and have been ignoring their attempts to reach me. Said they were a debt collector for IRS - I got a tax return last year so hopefully others will mark this as spam as well.
I have received 2 phone calls today. 1st one was at 7:39 am central time. I didn't answer the call but they left a recording stating " I repeated 202-660-4115. And it ended. Then at 10:20 am I received another call from 202-660-4106 again I didn't answer and the same recording of a voice said "I repeated 202-660-4106. It must be a scam, cause the IRS don't call you about back taxes due and they don't hire a debt collector.
Please dont give any info. Igot two cslls tday. I ssked for badge no and name which was given so freely. Name charles martin badge no. Es1429.ffrom 202-660-4106.im sure it was a scam. Asked to be sent official paperwork thru mail n he said it had been sent n no response. Si I askd what adress did he send it to? Was very presistant about paying over phone and gettin my info. But I gave up nothing. Beware of this scam. Itold him don t call again cause if the irs wanted ta contact me I know it wouldn t be by phone and know all about my info and especially my address. So please beware.
Left automated message on voicemail. Called back and said I owed taxes and they would resolve for me if I paid. TOTAL SCAM!! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!! BEWARE OF 202 AREA CODE!! I received another call from a different number but same area code with the same nonsense!
Left me a voicemail saying I owed back taxes. Called back out of curiosity and it was an Indian guy who could barely speak English. Said I could pay then or he would send the local sherif to my house. I'm still waiting on them lol. The IRS doesn't call you threatening, they'll send you a certified letter saying be in court. SCAM GUYS DONT FALL VICTIM!!
