• You have not won big bucks from a benign benefactor, a pot of pesos from PCH, dinero from a doctor, or a grant from a gracious government <<<<<<<<<<<<<
• The tooth fairy really does not exist
• Everything you read on the internet is not necessarily true.
• It is illegal to ask for money for a loan or prize, before awarding the loan or prize!
• "Free Trips" are loaded with mandatory & costly extras, and you usually must give them your card number after listening to a loooong spiel at a hotel.
• Microsoft or one of their agents did NOT cold call you to fix your computer.
• The moon is not made of green cheese.
• The IRS will snailmail you, rather than phone you, if there is a problem.
• Jackalope milk is not an aphrodisiac.
• If you "green dot", MoneyGram or Western Union money to a scammer, the money is gone.
• You should beware of Greeks bearing gifts, specially if the gift is a wooden horse with termites.
• 876 is NOT your lucky number, and it will cost you money to call that area code!

Some guy with a thick Indian accent called to tell me I "won" a grant for over $8,000. Obviously I knew it was a scam as soon as he said that but I thought I'd tease him so I played along and when he asked for my debit card number, I told him that I didn't have one. He then was going around and around trying to figure out how he could get my bank acct#, ssn#, or something but I just kept saying I didn't have one. I then began asking him what kind of pizza he and his fellow workers wanted and I'd have some sent over. I then asked him for his shoe size and he finally got wise and hung up on me. Call me with a scam and I'm gonna waste your next 10-20 minutes with BS!
A guy with an indian accents called and asked for Bob and said his name and number had been selected for a free federal grant. I told him my name wasnt Bob and he gave me the same answer that my name and number were selected. I immediately started asking questions and they hung up on me!!
