She texted me saying she was a goverment agent and that her name is Tymeshia Veldiaz Jones, she also saidthat she was  from Baltimore Maryland U.S.A. 21213 She said the government has a new grant that they were giving away to help people with things they might need like paying bills , fixing your home, things of that nature, then she asked me how much would i need , like who dont need money . She texted me aclist of differt amounts like if i wanted $15,000.00 then i would have to send her $300.00 and she said that was the shipping fee to have it delivered directly to my home. It all started with a Hacked paged from a old friend of mine i really thought it was him but then something clicked in my mind. Something didnt add up here. I have a very nervous condition and she keeps texting me. I dont want to get nasty with them and believe me I can. will someone do something about these people. Thanks. Oh and she said something about World Bank.

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

This appears to be a scam. They came across my messenger page offering a grant. But, it does not add up. Grants take time to process. Their request for name, address, age, income etc came back with approved within 24-hours or less. They also did not collect adequate information for grant writing. The are also carrying the title "Government Grant", which is lying on the US Government, using their title and name under false pretense. They came across a page in messenger posing as a friend of mine. They hacked messenger and posed as a friend.

This phone number is a text now assigned number. Text Now is a wifi calling service that assigns you a free phone number based on a selected area code. There is nothing that ties these numbers to an individual other than an IP address. Reporting is useless :(

Want you to wire money to nigeria. I jumped through all the hoops (and had quite a bit of fun doing it.) offered me a $150,000 grant in exchange for $300. Somewhere in the conversation it changed to $100,000. And I haggled the send amount down to $175.

Moral of the story? Federal Government Agents don't contact you directly with Federal Government Agent as the text signature in every message.
