Have been receiving these calls for months - have never answered or returned any (the most recent 10 minutes ago). The IRS operates primarily by mail - no threats or scare tactics. This most recent call uses a female voice while all previous calls have been a male `IRS officer'.
same message. Final notice from IRS stating they were going to file a lawsuit. I called the number and a woman answered.
I asked her immediately for her official IRS employee number - was disconnected.
