Received phone call the morning of 1/5/17 claiming that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me for serious criminal fraud on my part. Now this afternoon the same number sent me a text message saying that if I don't contact the they will inform my local police department. They will freeze my property, bank accounts and social benefits.

Same deal as Polly. Got a call followed by a text message. Unless our government suddenly got high-tech, I doubt the IRS would be sending texts.

same as the others above. got a call from 703-349-0539 with a voicemail, then a text from this number. guess what? i didn't fall for this last year, and it's not gonna happen this year either. nice try.

Wow, these people are nuts. Apparently I will be contacted by my local police department because of an IRS matter. The level of foolishness with these scammers grows by the day.

Yeah Same here. They said that IRS will file a lawsuit. Do they make money from people calling or what's their angle?
