Who called from 2027381734

I was called and some guy with an Indian accent says I qualified for a Federal grant for 7000.00 dollars because I have paid my bills and filed my taxes. He gave me a voucher number,  AN106, and another number to call; 202-738-1731. I was to contact Jeff Daniels at the next number, and I did, and Jeff Daniels sounded like another Indian (India). He said for me to receive the grant I would have to go to the Nearest RiteAide , call him back, and buy a money voucher pack ($200.00) and then they would send the $7000.00 to me. I told him that this sounded like a scam and that I am not in the practice of sending money to terrorists. He denied my accusations and said he was working for the government. I then hung up the phone.

I also got a call from an Arab sounding guy saying Iwas one of 1700 pppl the US grants dept chose for a $7000 grant because I dont have a criminal record in the last 6 months and ive never filed bankruptcy.  He also gave me a confirmation code AK1091 and a number to call to speak to his acounts manager who also sounded like an arab. The second number was 202-738-1734. This second guy also asked me to go buy a security voucher at CVS pharmacy in order to receive my money via western union. When I told him I have no money he got confused and tongue tied. I finally hung up on him.

I also got a call from someone who could not speak English well.  He said I was the recipient of a $7000 grant. He gave me a code WE103 and said I should call 2027381734.  He also said that he worked for the Federal Grants Department.  I did not call the number.

I have recieved a call from the same number too, the call came from a female call Betty ando she then gave me the confirmation number AP133 and to go ahead and call her branch manager named Bryan she said. When I called Bryan, he ask for confirmation number so he can pull up my file he said. He later say that I was exactly qualified for $7000 and never to pay back, but to get the money, I have to come up with security voucher of $250 so the IRS don't have to charge me for state to state taxes since money are text free suppose. I told the guy if the money is free, why not subtract $250 from the 7000 but I get no good explanation. After long time of answering questions from me, I told him that I was going to call him back. The guy speak no great English accent and so I ask him what his last name was and he says Anderson. Now I ask him why he sounded Indian but he say he was Spanish. His full names was Brent Anderson (change from Bryan by now) so now I knew some was fishy and then I look up the number he was using and thanks God you guys already had the same issues lol. Aint this a [***]? That is some [***] I get smart when it come to this..

WOW!!!! Same thing happened to me. I don't think I have to explain details because is all the same. I can not believe this ppl. Good thing there are resources such as google and ppl who post comments to help other not to be a victim of them. I told the lady that it was too good to be true. I said .... I am not giving you any information over the phone and she told me not to waste her time. I told her that I was going to investigate the number and make sure it was from the goverment, she got mad and nervious and told me to call again and ask for his manager. I said.... I don't know lady.... I'll think about it because I don't believe you any word you said. She got really mad when I told her if the goverment wants to give me free money, why don't I get the money in my income tax. Liar, Liar.... and ugly people. they need to find a real job.
