This is one scam I didnt fall for. They called me and said that they were with the US Government Grants; and that I was chosen to receive $5000 for paying my taxes on time. I was told that in order to receive the money I would need to go to walmart and purchase a GreenDot card. In addition to doing so, I would need to load the card with $150, call them and give them the info so that they could wire the $5000 grant money directly to me. After hanging up I looked up the phone number and the information and found that 1. They couldnt have been a part of the government grants because their website ended in .COM not .GOV. The REAL site is http://www.grants.gov. I then called the fraud hotline on grants.gov and asked about my situation.... The service member laughed and explained that this happens quite often. He then proceeded to tell me how there are many groups out there who claim to be with the government and provide government grants and funding, but if it cant be found on a .gov site then they are scamming you and have a loophole to getting money from you. If you have been put in this situation or are ever put in this situation go to
