I got a usual IRS scam call today from this 202 number, asking me to return the call or I will go to jail. This is probably the 25th IRS call I got from various numbers.
A recorded message from Hedda Gray, a slow-speaking female with a Central Virginian accent. Claimed to be Internal Revenue Service Officer badge number 202-754-9765. (Clever, her badge is her phone number.) She warned us not to disregard her message and don't delay, call her back. Then she very warmly said take care and goodbye like she was serving up some biscuits & gravy in a place where they say tay-ache cay-air (one syllable words sound like two syllable words).
