This person with a indian accent called me from this number and said they were the IRS and said I made a error on my taxes and if i didn’t pay them in 45mins the police would show up. It said the IRS was suing me and i couldn’t hang up the phone I would have a police officer come to my door. Has anyone received this call as well
This is a well-known scam. The IRS will never call; they will contact you by US Mail. They will also never threaten arrest. Just block and ignore their calls. Tell any elderly relatives and friends about this scam, too, so they don't get taken in.
Yes they have called me many times....but before they start to say there scrpt every I ask them for there ID# and there supervisor n managers name and that I will call the IRS personally.... and for some strange reason they hang up.
Yeah I literally just got a call from this exact number, just a couple minutes ago. I didn't answer it, though. I also have voicemail or a text from them either so...yeah
