I received 4 calls in a few hours from 202-770-2470. I finally answered on the third call, she asked for Cindy. I told her no one here by that name and she said that's ok I'll just talk to you, of course she was told no she wouldn't. About an hour later she calls again and asks for Cindy, I told her to take this number off her list so we'll see. It was something to do with safe food handling or some bull like that. I think it is a scam of some sort but could be wrong, either way it is irritating especially if you're trying to catch a nap on a rainy Sat. afternoon.
They just called me now, and their company name came-up as CFSAF. When I Googled that, it turned out to be an organization to stop or restrict labelling of GMO-based foods. The caller called live, and asked, "Hello?" into my answering machine.
I too got a call from CFSAF. Unlike the previous responder the female caller gave me the impression she was all for GMO free labeling. When she "graciously" offered to help send a letter to my legislator I declined and hung up. I am sure she would have asked for money at some point.
