Been getting these phone calls for days. when I answered the phone these people knew everything about me such as name, address, phone number. They also asked me how old I was and if I was employed. They told me that I had been qualified for a federal grant for $9,200 all I needed to do was follow there instructions and I would have my money in less that an hour. they gave me several options in which I could receive my mony and they were, western Union, give them my debit card # or my banking information. They gave me "Grant #" and told me to call another phone number area code "206". I never called them back knowing this was a scam. Kept getting calls and today got a call from a different phone this time area code "356", i answered and received the same Finally decided today to call the company back and just see what the had to say, the number is 202-780-8403 (this number shows up as Washington D.C.), for your information. My entire being told me this was a scam and boy was I right....
I was asked how I wanted to receive my money and knowing better that to give out my personal information I told them Western Union. I gave the man on the phone my "code" and the man on the other end told after a lot of talking that I need to go to the nearest store that had a western union such as Wal-Mart and purchase an ITunes card and place $200 on it. He told me he would stay on the phone with me the entire time until i purchased the card, activated the card and gave him some information on the back of that card. I told him I was working and in no way could do this until after 5:00pm. He said he would be expecting my call. They take your money from that card, I'm sure, and leave you with nothing..
I have read on another thread that tied into one of the other numbers that i received a call from and they too were asked to go purchase cards anywhere from $200-$300.
DON'T buy into this, I am a very well educated person and I almost believed them. At first, I actually gave them a pre-paid debit card that I had with a zero balance and guess what....they called and wanted to know what other ways that I would like to receive my money. Thats when I told them I would do the Western Union, I wanted to try and figure out how this scam was working. This is funny, as I was typing this they have called me back again, I thought that I had blocked all numbers. Also beware of incomplete numbers I received several of those when they figured out my card had a zero balance. (ie: +1 (81), +1 (1) 1181, a few other variations of this same type)

Thank you for caring enough to make there scam public. Put information on here. Same thing happened to me Friday, and again today. Exactly, the same as your situation.
I'm on disability......so I'll admit it was tempting. Then I plugged there number in and be hold...... I found your blog. I'm not stupid, well educated, women. So I was checking into this.... thank you so much...... money is always tempting.
People please know GRANT monies are usually in check form. Don't fall for this.
I have had the same people contact me and they are starting to really piss me off. I had 50 cent CEO contact me off face book stating I won 3.5 millon dollars and Floyd Mayweather also .. I am sick and tired of this and the government needs to send out notifications and even Facebook should do something. Not only are theses people giving false hope and busting dreams but they are actually getting people to do this. I hate to admit this but I believed one of them and have lost money .. They are liars and thefts somebody has to do something.
