My message was the same as the top message. The IRS calling to give final warning about an impending lawsuit. Total scam I called and the guy was totally inappropriate.

This is what the recording said. "Hello, this call is officially a final notice from the IRS Internal Revenue Service . The reason of this call is to inform that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number. 202.790.4709" I did not call back and googled the number which brought me tho this site. Don't plan to call either after reading posts here, Thanks for the info.
It's a scam to get you to phone. You can go online and find out there is no procedure for the IRS calling people to warn them they'll be sued. The IRS, after sending many written notices, simply freezes assets and people find they can't get money from an ATM machine. The scammer's job is done when you call because there's a ton of information they can get just from the transmission of the call. Simply do not call and report it to the FTC on its website.
