I received the same call. They claimed to be working for the US Government and said I was randomly selected to win a $9,000 grant because I pay my taxes on time and have no criminal history. It was obviously a scam so I did not reveal any personal information.
Was told I was to receive grant money from government. By direct deposit, check, or Western Union/Moneygram. I do not believe or trust them. What do you know about this?
I received a call from these individuals phone number 202-549-1179 in regards to a grant that I receive from the federal government for loyalty . I was informed that I received this grant because I was low income I did not file for bankruptcy and I completed doing my taxes for $9,000. they gave me a confirmation number then told them to call back at 202-792-8731 to talk to a senior manager I talk to a senior manager and went through all the I dance of the talk was a lot of noise in the background the female said I need to give them $250 to confirm my money grant in order to receive the $9,000 then she asked me if I had a valid ID and whatnot I told her that I didn't have an id I didn't have the money and she can go ahead and cancel it I do not feel secure about this information never heard of it I checked the other phone number it does come from a landline in Washington but nowadays can all this stuff to be happy anyways be careful
