Call came in US Internal Revenue Service....beware scam call saying I owed money to the IRS for fraud for back taxes between 2008-2013 for underpayment. He threatened me and said a sheriff would be at my door in two hours to arrest me and that there would be a lien placed on my house for $90,000. The caller said he was Officer Rick Williams and his badge number was CI439-0 and i had committed 5 counts of fraud against the IRS.
Received a call from "Officer Stephen Bradley of the Tax Audit Department if the IRS". He stated that he had a legal petition notice in my name and to contact him right away so that I would not be sent to claims court or arrested. He actually left this message on my answering machine.
Received voice mail, caller id said it came from "1." Guy with an Indian accent said his name was Eric Adler and he was from the tax dept and has a legal notice in our name and would be arrested if we did not contact him. The number he gave was 202-795-1696. He was actually laughing as he was giving the phone number.
Same thing happened to me today. Eric Hadler called and left a message. I call him back today. Seems to be the same as you Cindy, guess the are targeting women. So not cool!
