Got a call today from this number and they had the nerve to leave a message. Another IRS scam - left mechanical voice message - do not call back - use call blocker on you phone service - the IRS does NOT call people on the phone. What a bunch of idiots :(
Received call with message left with a computer generated voice message. Tried to phone the number back and got a busy signal. IRS does not have a busy signal. IRS does not call people on the phone and threaten them with legal action if they do not reply that is time sensitive. Another scam again.
Got the same call but just an answering machine asking for name and ssn (idiots).. Got a similar call last year and actually talked to a guy - he told me that if I didn't give him the information he would send law enforcement. I said go ahead. He then told me this was very serious and then I told him that I was from IRS fraud division and the he had been on the line long enough to track him.. He quickly hung up. I called him a couple of days later and said we are watching him with drones.. he quickly hung up again.
This automated message, called and Its an IRS scam, when I called back the guy had an English accent. and When I told him I was going to call the police, he got really nasty.
