Who called from 2027980228

Washington DC area code. Caller with no msg left. 6:20pm so all DC offices are closed. This is obviously a scammer. Probably one of those calls demanding your SSN and immediate payment of back taxes using your credit card. IRS and government offices always contact by mail and never by phone!!! Adding area code 202 to my CPR blocker!!!

Got the same call at 6:01pm cst. Caller ID showed "WASHINGTON DC". No message was left either.

Repeat of call from this number at 6:25pm on 18 Feb. Call blocker dumped the call this time. D.C. time is 7:25pm. All gov offices are closed. This is clearly some type of attempted scam. TV new shows have warned about multiple tax scammers making calls.

Yes it is.  Garden variety Indian or Pakistani IRS scam.  Ignore and block.
