I called the number that the caller left on my voicemail. Answered as if they were from Dept. of the Treasury. I called them on the scam and let them know I would be contacting the MD State Attorneys Office. They apologized and ask that I not report them.
caller left a message on answer machine that we should not ignore this call or we would have a lot of problems and they wished us good luck. A law suit was filed and they needed more info.
I got the end of a recorded message- only the end because I have a sales call block on my phone- the message said that I or my attorney had better all them back right away or I would would have to deal with the consequences. Very threatening tone. TOTAL FRAUD!!!
