Called and told me I was eligible to receive grant money from the government for my start up. He asked how I wanted the money, check, money order, or direct deposit. I told him to send me a check. He asked for my address. Knowing that he should have that information already if he was who he claimed to be, I gave him a false address. He said there was a processing fee for mailing a check and asked for my credit card number. I gave him a false number as well. He put me on hold for 30 seconds. When he came back to the phone he told me that my payment was successful, they'll go ahead and send me a check and gave me a confirmation number.
